Introducing TurfGuard Access Mats
TurfGuard is not just another ground protection mat. Design, engineering, and a special high-molecular-weight-polyethylene resin formulation (HMWPE) come together to create the newest, virtually indestructible mat in the ground protection market.
TurfGuard is designed for maximum load capacity, featuring both an aggressive (machine) tread and diamond plate (pedestrian) tread on either side, ideal for use over soft or sensitive ground conditions in the construction, civil engineering, groundwork, and events industries. These rugged HMWPE mats measure 4’x8’x0.5” and are virtually indestructible. Capable of withstanding loads up to 120 tons*, TurfGuard’s flexible construction allows it to adapt to the ground’s contours, providing an effective access solution over uneven, sloping or soft terrain.
Weighing just 85 lbs. (39 kg) TurfGuard can be easily deployed and maneuvered without special equipment. Optional hand and connecting holes add to the convenience. TurfGuard can be connected using link connectors to create a secure trackway or work pad.
Load-bearing capacity is subject to ground conditions. Sizing is subject to a manufacturing variance of +/- 5%.

Easily Link Mats Together
TurfGuard mats feature strategically placed ‘pilot drill sites’ for linking holes, enhancing their stability and versatility. As an option, these holes can be pre-drilled at the Guardian Composites manufacturing site. Linking the mats with specialized connectors or bolts provide a secure connection between mats ensuring they remain firmly in place during heavy use. The linked mats create a seamless, continuous surface, preventing gaps that could cause tripping hazards or equipment damage. TurfGuard’s interlocking system is particularly beneficial on uneven or sloped terrain, providing additional support and preventing mats from shifting. The linking holes make it easy to customize the coverage area, enabling quick and efficient setup for multiple applications.

Made from Recycled Materials
TurfGuard mats are made from recycled polyethylene materials and offer an eco-friendly solution for ground stabilization needs. These mats utilize recycled HMWPE which is much stronger than the commonly used HDPE material. Despite being made from recycled materials, they are engineered to maintain high strength and durability, capable of supporting heavy loads and withstanding harsh conditions. TurfGuard offers two treads – top and bottom. The top offers an aggressive (machine tire or track) tread keeps the mat gripping the surface to keep your machinery in motion. The bottom of the mat offers a diamond-plate (pedestrian) tread to minimize potential tripping hazards.

TurfGuard is made to both bend and flex in hard and dry conditions. This increases its durability and versatility on the job site. TurfGuard is also stiff enough to provide a firm surface in softer conditions to allow vehicle access as needed.
